Hi, Anne! Thanks for the friend request! I cruised your photos this morning; so enjoy looking at your work! I wear my little earrings often and always get nice comments. Hope you are well, too. I give my last final exam tomorrow and then it's all over but the grading -- hooray for summer in the studio!
Hi Anne, Thank you for the kind words! Graphite was the focus of my thesis in school. I fell in love with the physical quality of it, and that it could also make marks. I've tried using it in enamels a couple of times, and it's interesting. I like that it becomes permanent in the enamel. Your enamels are gorgeous! I particularly love the settings. They are so well composed.
I won't be in Toronto. My father passed away and I'm going to his memorial...I'm leaving soon and in the middle of grading before I go. but off the top of my head for exhaust fans, I purchased one from Grainger many years ago and talked with an engineer that was very helpful. Tell them what you are doing and they will suggest something. Getting a bigger one than you need is better then one that is too small, and the Less bends in your duct work the better, and if you have to have a bend, two 45 degree angles is better then one 90. Strait up to the roof is the best. Contact me again if you need to. I'll have more time in the next few weeks. -deb
Hi Anne, it was great to meet you too! I was happy to see a familiar face on here! Thank you for your kind words, I love your work as well and I hope we meet again!
Hi, Anne - thanks for the nice remarks about my work. We seem to be working with some similar interests. Glad to see you also work in series - very nice stuff!
Hi Anne, I just enjoyed looking through your photos...your pigeon holed series strikes me right now, as I'm trying to break from just that thing. Your creative connections framing your pieces in are inspirational. Best wishes!
I thought I saw your name on the Ferrous page. I didn't think you used steel, but a lot of jewelers use bits of it sometime. I had Larry Sanders take some images, and they turned out great.
hi Anne yes planning on going to Toronto SNAG, am in canada..am on the west coast few hours drive north of seattle..sadly toronto is just across the border from Detroit so bit of a journey
Keep me posted. I work a regular day job,so it is difficult to get away during the day,but you could come the jewelry shop where I work or meet after work possibly. Good luck in KC.
Let me know when will be in St Louis and yes I know Peg. We could all meet at Craft Alliance,I think the metals exhibit curated by Paulette Myer from SIUE will still be up. Depending on when you are in we will give you a studio tour at Craft Alliance (both locations). Peg teaches classes there.

Toronto sounds like a great time, but I am not sure I can make it. Haven't completely ruled it out yet, but it's unlikely.
