Thanks for the compliments. I really appreciate your use of color... I've been thinking about color a lot since the new metalsmith magazine came out... Have you seen it?

I enjoyed reading your blog post on the jury process. I am 100% in agreement about the necessity of having professional photos taken of your work.

Thanks for posting your experiences on the jury.

I see that you live in New Jersey. Where do you live?
Just thought I'd ask since I am on Long Beach Island right now with my family on vacation.

You can reply to my regular email if you want bermaid@harriete-estel-berman.info.

Hi!
Thanks, for contacting me. I hope you'll think about joining out merry band of New Jersey based makers. I'd enjoy seeing your pieces in person and talking shop, which is what our quarterly meetings are generally about. In addition, someone may demo something or talk more in depth about their work. We have a show planned in late fall at Jersey City University's art gallery as well. Our next meeting is April 24th. I can email you more info if you like.

Hi Stevie,
We think signing another artist's name to the martini glass would be fun and push the idea of art forgery.

As for production methods, "last minute panic" seems to be the technique preferred by most artists (and us as well). There is nothing like a gun to your head to stimulate instinctual creativity.

Can't wait to see what you come up with.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yes, I do take my work home with me... and to school, and into the lab, and.....
What did you mean by "the real" (mixed w/ silver & acrylic)? All my flowers and hybrids are plastic from the get-go. Or maybe you meant the 'idea' of a real organism encased in silver and plastic? Kinda like our relationship with technology these days.....
best regards,
nisa

Dear Stevie:

Welcome to crafthaus ! I am very glad you joined us.

There is always a lot of activity on the site, so it would be great if you could uploaded some images of your artwork. Many of your fellow artists will be getting to see what you are doing and I am sure you will get some great feedback quickly. When you upload pictures, please use the main PHOTO link to do so. That way, the photos will appear in the main slideshow and on your personal page.

Please feel free to add your comments to the blog/discussion topics that are already posted. Of course, if there is something else you'd much rather talk about, please add that to the site so that the rest of us can chime in.

I really hope you will enjoy being with this network and find the exchanges interesting and fun. The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it, for sure.

If there are ever any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to email me anytime. I will do my best to be of help.

Again: Welcome !
