is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.
We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

SECTION 1:
INTRODUCTION
Clarion Events and Handmade in Britain
have created CRAFT to provide a commercial
platform for designer makers who wish to reach
an audience of professional retailers and
collectors. CRAFT is a new trade event for
leading contemporary makers which will take
place alongside Home and Top Drawer from the
11-13 January 2015 at Olympia, London.
The Event
The launch of CRAFT was in response to
increasing demand from retailers searching for
high quality products with provenance; items
which are truly unique and original; objects
with heart, soul and individuality. CRAFT
is the place where professional buyers will
discover just such products. CRAFT fills a gap
in the UK market for a high quality, juried
trade event which will enable leading Makers
and Artisans to meet a substantial audience of
international retailers, galleries, museums,
professional buyers and collectors within a
dedicated trade event in London.
Location
Located alongside Home and Top Drawer at
Olympia, CRAFT is the most recent addition to
Clarion’s rapidly growing portfolio of events.
Housed in its own specially created space,
CRAFT will be home to over 150 contemporary
makers who will be carefully selected by the
CRAFT advisory panel.

There's a lot going on in craft and design right now, especially in London, with the spectacular Goldsmiths' Fair running now until 5th October, The Knitting & Stitching Show and MADE London next month and Handmade in Britain at Chelsea Old Town Hall in November - there's a great ticket offer in our latest newsletter for the Chelsea event too!
It's not all about London though, we feature Gallery Exhibitions, Fairs & Shows and Open Studios around the country- and there's some hot news for small creative businesses about Creative Business Finance.
Simply download our September Newsletter to find out more!
With best wishes
