The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

Design Days Dubai 2016

Building markets for British craft across the globe

British craft has a strong heritage and is revered around the world for its quality, energy and innovation.

We support makers to realise their ambitions to work with international clients including collectors, galleries and retailers by showcasing their work at world-class design fairs across the world.

The Design Days Dubai fair, founded in 2013, is successfully contributing to building the ‘design art’ market in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and more widely across the Middle East.

For the fourth year we are taking a group of makers to Design Days Dubai in March 2016. This is an opportunity for makers to explore this new market supported by the Crafts Council and UK Trade & Investment (UKTI).

If you are a maker who has international ambitions this could be the opportunity for you. Read more in the guidance document and to apply, create a Crafts Council website account, click on International Showcase application and submit by the 14 September 2015. http://www.craftscouncil.org.uk/what-we-do/design-days-dubai-2016/
