The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

Dear Members
you may have heard the sad news that Lesley Craze died last weekend, at home in Southwold with her family around. She will be much missed.

If you would like to attend the funeral in Norfolk on Thursday 1st September and have not had details, please email projects@acj.org.uk

We have sent flowers on behalf of ACJ. Lesley was such an influential figure in our field, and a staunch supporter and Advisor of ACJ.

If you wish donations can be made to the Sole Bay Care Fund:

Very sad week for jewellery as we hear of the passing of Nuala Jamison. Another major player in the UK contemporary jewellery scene with some wonderful work. Our wishes to her friends and family.

The Design Museum Market is the newest addition to a portfolio of successful events organised by Designers/Makers in collaboration with cultural venues in London. Launching for the first time this year, Design Museum Market is set to become the leading showcase and selling event for contemporary design in London.
