Your metalwork is a wonderful synthesis of your day and night jobs!  Each piece a specimen on display.

Good to connect...why wait....take a class or two in fibers now and mix it in with your work!

Thanks Nisa, I just lost my original email, so if you get two that sound similar-that is why? I actually love disquieting or unsettling art, don't you? Good luck in setting up your studio. Renee

Thank you for looking! Your work is lovely, you should look at Beverly Penn's work if you have not already :)

I actually just finished at the Academy of Art. I'm pretty excited and I'm trying to set up a studio in my dinning room! Did you submit your pieces in to the new Lark book?

Hi Nisa! Thanks for the compliment! I really dig your slide array pieces and your play with negative space. Your photos that you have up here are REALLY good. I was in Chicago too, bummer we didn't run into each other. I was the one who brought the awesome weather! We gotta meet in person sometime. I'm so bad with picking people out of a crowd, especially at Sofa with all the sparkly objects. If you ever see me about, smack me and say hello. Or, say hello and then smack me if that sounds like more fun! Didn't you used to be in C-U? School or work? My first job at age 16 was in Bloomington, IL. I worked at the Double Nickel burger joint. Is that 50's shack still standing? Cheers, MDB

hi, thank you. and yes that brooch was more of a one time thing, we had an assignment based on a group of mexican artifacts. i did a few more pieces that were similar but it never resulted in a body of work that i wanted to continue exploring.

Hi Nisa,
I just went to Chicago last weekend to set up the show. It is the mixture of old works, but in the different setting, and larger. I hope you can come to my opening! Let's catch up!

That would be great - from looking at your work I have a feeling we have some corresponding interests! If you are ever in Portland Oregon, please look me up!
