The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

AJF connects the broad world of art jewelry across the globe is by hosting conversations focused on different regions as part of the ongoing AJF Hangouts series. The most recent event was on January 30. It consisted of voices from Iran, Lebanon, Egypt, and Turkey, in addition to Australian-based moderator Kevin Murray, who was in Kuwait.

Goldsmiths' Fair 2017: Applications Close Next Week
Applications to exhibit are now open, and close at midnight 24 February 2017.
All information and instructions for the online application can be found on the website. All applications must be completed via the online form.
The Goldsmiths’ Fair Selection Committee will meet in March and applicants will be advised of the outcome thereafter.
Over two weeks in autumn 2017, Goldsmiths’ Fair will showcase new collections from the best UK-based designer-makers working in gold and silver. Last year, 150 exhibitors took part and 10,000 people visited the event.
