To reference and paraphrase Ghandi, "CREATE the change you want to see in the world."

I am absolutely tired of the seemingly constant negativity around me. It's mostly bad news everywhere I look these days, but I do think the human race is better than all the bad stuff some of us do to each other. We just don't hear the good stories often enough, but they are out there!

Here's the charge: I want to hear stories about YOU making a difference!
Tell me (briefly) what you are currently doing or have done in the past to make the world a better place. Something that wasn't self-serving, but impacted your life in an unforeseen way. Are you a business owner who works with underserved populations? Have you invented something really useful? Have you helped someone in need even though it wasn't your job to do it? Has your art helped someone?

Alternatively, were you positively impacted by someone else's efforts?

If you are a crafthaus member, sign-in and use the thread below for a synopsis or message me your story privately (crafthauseditor at gmail dot com) No story is too big or too small. They all matter. Can't wait.

Yes, I have a plan for a project. If your story is picked, I will work with you to take your story public. Good deeds deserve to be applauded. I know you are not looking for recognition, tell me your story anyway. THANK YOU.

Thank you Stefan and Sally for pointing this out. Sounds like a great idea. I just looked at https://www.kiva.org/ but their site is currently under maintenance. I'll check back later today!

There is one organization that everybody can support another craftsman small business,  farmers or refugees around the world.
The actual donation is  more likely lending the money to the craftsman, something like $25 or more and in time the group or the individual craftsmen, refugees, or farmers return the loan to the organization and the same money can be lent  to another person. Mostly the applicants for these loans are from devastated countries in war or poverty from the third world countries.
Sometimes there is a risk to lose some money from areas in countries devastated of disasters for wars. However thousands of people have been helped to proceed to their goals and get another chance in life. It's worth taking a look at the website and the listings of the applicants who depend on loans.
Hope you look in to it at  kiva.org  For me it's worth  every single dollar I donate-lend to the caftsmen around the globe. My wife also has donated many times and the money has been reloaded to others many times over.
Thank you for the wonderful idea you posted and I hope and wish you good luck with many many followers I'd this mission.
Best regards Stefan and Sally
