Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.
We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

Are you interested in moving your designer maker business to the next level, but unsure how to go about it? The Jewellery Production 1 workshop (Jewellery P1) has been created to help small jewellery designer-maker businesses ready themselves to work with larger scale suppliers and respond to the changes in the jewellery market today.
This two day intensive course will cover a range of topics designed to provide attendees with the knowledge and tools to help increase profitability, maximise time and attract new customers; exploring some of the ways in which you can extract more value from your business, without diluting your brand.
Application deadline: 11:59pm, 22nd September 2017
The workshop itself takes place on 18th and 19th October 2017
