November 9, Saturday and 10, Sunday, 2013

9AM – 4.30PM (lunch time 12:15-1PM)

 $320- per person

Cut, score, fold, form, raise, forge, texture and solder are all words you are familiar with when working in your studio. Now combine and enlarge to create unique pieces of jewelry and hollowware that will explore the use of the hollowware form in the production of jewelry and tableware. The class will focus on the many possibilities and opportunities to create unique jewelry and tableware "objects of art" when working with the hollowware form. Students will have an opportunity to work on jewelry concepts including bangles, pendants and lockets or explore large-scale hollowware forms including vessels and teapots during this "hands-on" workshop.

About the Artist

Kevin O’Dwyer is an internationally renowned silversmith/sculptor represented in both private and public collections including The Victoria and Albert Museum, London; The National Museum of Ireland, The High Museum and Racine Museum of Art, Wisconsin. He studied with master silversmith Bill Frederick (Chicago) and Heikki Seppa (originator of anticlastic raising). O’Dwyer continues to create jewelry, hollowware and sculptural forms for private clients and gallery exhibitions.
