Seeing NCECA: A Student’s Perspective

As a student of ceramics at Berea College, I’m always observing and learning about the ceramics world. NCECA, however, takes the fire of my learning to a whole new cone pack.

This blog will capture my excitement of the before, during, and after of the 2013 NCECA. I will talk to ceramicists, explore dazzling exhibits, and embrace all that the NCECA paradise has to offer. This blog will be the log in which I jot all my gushing observations!

We all dug into our NCECA bags like it was Christmas, and then dove into our program schedules. I circled the events for the day (last year I was frantically running around everywhere with no plan), and headed to the Gallery Expo. After gawking at the initial displays, I made my…Continue

I also am a Senator for the Student Government, and an ambassador to alumni and friends of the college who come for visits.Ceramics brings me a powerful…Continue
