Brooch made from the corroded cog from the rear mech of one of my old bikes; silver; African blackwood scrap from a bagpipe factory; rutillated topaz; spessarite garnet; tourmaline; black spinel; a large, carved quartz flower.

The leaves were drawn in Rhino using scans of actual scented geranium leaves and then modelled upon to create the silver and wooden leaves. Each leaf was milled from African blackwood using a CNC milling machine.

The name comes from an incorrectly remembered line by Marinetti, some nonsense about "the beauty of strife"!
