Formatively a potter, and interested in the potential of functional art in today's society, Strand's work has moved seamlessly into Community Engagement and Social Practice. "The Spaces Between: Art, Craft and Humanity" presents Strand's recent projects that are focused on asking unique questions that challenge the conventional wisdom of how objects move into the world.
