Hidden In Nature II, an exhibition of large, sculptural jewelry and a wall
installation by Kansas City based artist Cheryl Eve Acosta, will be on view at The Leedy-Voulkos Art
Center from August 1st through Sept. 28th, 2013. Cheryl Eve is known for her bold, distinctive, body
adornments and sculptural jewelry that treat the human form as a canvas—merging art with fashion.
The exhibition includes a new collection of marine inspired, scarf-like necklaces that highlight the
impermanence and fragility of natural oceanic forms. Also on display will be a large-scale installation
entitled Mer de Verre (Sea of Glass). The show, including more than 25 pieces, tracks the evolution of
Cheryl Eve’s work since her first Hidden in Nature show in 2009.
