Create a miniature gourd book with a cover made from the outer shell of a hard-shelled Lagenaria gourd. The pages will be a combination of handmade Mexican amate paper, enhanced with specialty papers. Learn several hands-on techniques to complete your "tiny treasure" as: making gourd pulp paper, woodburning, jewelers sawing, torched-fired patinas and other decorative surface techniques for embellishing with wire, vintage bone, torched-fired copper, gourd seeds, beads and charms. Each day will be filled with myriad techniques, day one primarily focused on the covers and construction, while day two will focused on the inside pages and the decorative bead strings.
