Event Description

Did you ever want to try enameling without a kiln? Turn off that electricity and join us in this low budget, low tech approach to enameling small objects or jewelry pieces. Learn how to use liquid as well as transparent and opaque enamels, sgraffito techniques, under and over-glazes, and the use of under and over-firing for particular desired affects. You will also learn surface texturing and forming, torch control, various enamel application methods, importance of mesh size, and a host of tips and techniques that will benefit you in your pursuit of this joyful medium. We will explore cold-connection and minimal soldering skill options for your piece(s). You will leave with completed pieces and the skills to do this at home.
