We made a few videos last year to work alongside our demonstrations and teaching. You may like to see them and use them to assist with your teaching or learning.
(Not too much laughter at us please... they are the first time we've been caught on camera!)

                    The open studio sessions
sian evans jewellery

The Sian Evans open studio sessions

You are cordially invited to; The winter open studio sessions
Saturday 3rd December and Saturday 17th December
11am until 6pm

A magical world unfolds in front of you as you walk in to the studio of sian evans. These two open studio days in december are a rare opportunity to see how sian designs and creates her work . See the processes and techniques she uses. Littering the studio are curious tools and precious materials.
Cabinets and vitrines house the pieces , the results of a love affair with materials and the body .
You'll see gold and silver jewellery , pearls , rubies and emeralds, exquisite beads and  objects of desire.
New work and vintage Evans

Pieces will be available to buy and prices start at  £15.00 for silver earrings

Sian Evans has been designing and creating for nearly three decades , for many of the companies you love , with artists , and for her own brand.

She is also a teacher and shares her knowledge with the students of Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design where she is currently a senior lecturer on the world renowned BA Jewellery Design course

Design practice and theory and a growing interest in fine art theory have profoundly changed the content, expression and delivery of her own practice. Once ubiquitous in the best designer boutiques and stores around the world, her work  focuses are else where, rarer, much harder to find , one off and bespoke. She loves working across the disciplines and collaborates with artists and designers. This approach to work makes sian very happy and allows a varied delivery from object/artifact and installation to photography...
and  jewellery .

Typically her work will contain a narrative. She is a story teller , the content; an expression of an uncomfortable personal relationship with consumerism , ( she is a champion of ethical and sustainable practice at CSM ). The field; jewellery, an area that specifically lauds the rare, elite, expensive or exclusive. Status and hierarchy, social codes, rites of passage, archetypes, archaeology and values are all areas of research for this ongoing body of work.
