Craft at a Crossroads:  A Conversation of Art vs.Craft Call to Artists       Exhibition:   Craft at a Crossroads: A Conversation of Art vs. Craft    Dates:     June 18- August 28, 2010  Description:  A  juried and invitational exhibition of fine craft artists who create contemporary works of art that exemplify the concepts of art, craft and design.    This exhibition will focus on the outdated ideology of craft as a tradition of functional works and fine art as a purely decorative field of painting and sculpture.   According to Amy Hall, artist and critic, "the boundaries between art, craft and design are thickly blurred: Art is created through craft and design has become an art in and of itself."                                                                Submission requirements and fees:   Artists must submit a minimum of 3 digital images of their current body of work including 1 detail in jpeg format on a CD. Files should be no larger than 8 x 12 inches at 300 dpi resolution. Artists interested in making new work for the exhibition should submit images of their current body of work along with sketches for consideration. All works must be for sale or available by commission. Works must be ceated within the last two years.   The submission fee is $10.00 Exhibition Dates:                                        June 18 - Aug. 28, 2010   Deadlines: Digital File Samples on a CD due to FC:         Mon May 10, 2010 Acceptance notification via email:                 Fri.
