About the curator:

My name is Elliot Gaskin. I have a BFA in sculpture and jewelry from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco, California. The jewelry, installations and sculptures I create focus on the simplest parts of old machinery and kinetic objects. Fishing poles, cranes, and pulley systems are my inspiration. I try to create work that challenges the viewer’s perception of modern day mechanical objects. With attention to detail and craft, I create mechanical objects with simple functions, basic parts, and contemporary designs.
