State of Flux

SNAG Annual Juried Student Exhibition

A state of constant movement, change, and renewal brings ground-breaking concepts, materials, and technology. The 2011 SNAG Juried Student Exhibition – State of Flux – will celebrate innovation and achievement in the next generation of metals and jewelry artists. A jury will select a broad range of artwork – from wearable, functional and traditional forms to conceptual and installation based projects. The work of the most promising, enthusiastic, and visionary students will be selected for public exhibition at the 2011 SNAG Conference in Seattle, WA. Of those selected, three students will be chosen by the jury to receive merit-based cash awards.

Jurors:

Jana is a member of SOIL Artist-Run Gallery, Artist Trust, and the Society of North American Goldsmiths. Since graduating in 1999, she has maintained her studio practice, shown nationally and internationally, been interviewed, published, included in museum collections and happily cajoled into many jewelry and gallery community projects.

Ron continues to design and create one of a kind silver and found object jewelry. Ron's jewelry has been shown nationally and internationally and is in the collections of numerous private and public collections, including the Tacoma Art Museum and the King County Arts Commission. Ron also leads travel groups on tours of important world craft art locations continuing his study of craft and design.

I was educated in North America but before 2009. I was educated in the UK during the 2009-2011 time period. Am I not eligible?

Thanks,
Rickson
