The British are Coming an on-line exhibition of British base Silversmiths

An online exhibition of Silversmiths who currently reside and practice in the UK. The goal is to show the best current contemporary silversmith work from the UK. This exhibition aims to explore if there is a specific British silversmith style that is different from silversmithing styles in other countries.

The works submitted have been made from 2011 onwards.

About the Curator :- Mark Fenn

 

Mark Fenn is a contemporary studio Jeweller and Silversmith with a BA (Hons) degree in Silversmithing, Goldsmithing and Jewellery from UCA.

 

Mark’s studio work is informed by the narrative and the personal. Mark is an award winning silversmith and a graduate member of Contemporary British Silversmiths. He is also a full member of The Association of Contemporary Jewellery and also sits on the ACJ advisory panel. He is based in the seaside town of Whitstable, Kent, UK. He is currently working on a book of Narrative Jewellery "Tales from the Tool Box" and will also be curating an online exhibition of Narrative Jewellery here on Crafthaus. Beautiful exhibition! Everything is well made. I have been a fan of Wally Gilbert's for some time now and I love his works. I also love the purity of Mark Fenns pieces. Well done to everyone.

Took my breath away!  Adi Toch's Little Beak Oil Drizzler makes my heart ache in a delicious way.  And i could stare at David Clarke's Influx Collection for hours.  Beautiful group of work here.
