Images of Creative Communion

My journey from Vancouver, BC. Canada, to the “Imagery in Jewelry” workshop at Touchstone Center for Craft in Farmington, Pennsylvania.

Pittsburgh and....Creative Calm...

When you invite things into your life they have an interesting way of just showing up. This adventure is now in full swing for me.  I flew from Vancouver BC, Canada to Minneapolis, MN then onto Pittsburgh, PA yesterday.  I spent the night in Pittsburgh and had dinner at Grit and Grace downtown Pittsburgh where I met a London based artist who's opening up a new art gallery on Penn Ave.  I got a tour of the soon to be opened gallery space, which was amazing and I've made a new wildly creative friend for life.

The inside of the gallery.

I spent the day in Pittsburgh exploring and was enchanted by rusty metal bridges...

I arrived at Touchstone in the late afternoon and I'm not sure I can even find words to explain this special place.  It's picturesque and tranquil.....as I sit here and type this I can hear nothing but crickets chirping and a stream flowing.  It is filled with quiet calm creative energy and I'm so excited to soak this all in.

Touchstone really is a magical place and Pittsburgh is exciting. Make sure you check out the Society for Contemporary Craft in town and the little galleries and restaurants in Bloomfield. It is also worth seeing if there is an "art crawl" happening.

      Patsy,

Dauvit is so right about this. Pittsburgh and Touchstone are my former stomping grounds and you hit the nail on the head on both accounts, these places are awesome. Enjoy your workshop, looking forward to hearing all about the experience! The weather will be perfect this weekend.
