hey Aimee - glad to see you've joined us here! it's a pretty neat place, with lots of stuff to read and look at. people are sharing info on shows and other things related to what we all do.
Hola Aimee,
Thanks, I am happy you like my work.
I am sure your piece has a good home now and the new owner is proud to wear it. I know that feeling, I made a piece that I felt in love with and it was sold very fast but I am happy the new owner loves the piece as much as I do.
Hasta Luego ;-) ,

Aimee,
Hey thanks a lot! Its always great to meet another enamel person. I'm am relatively new to missouri and did notice that the missouri metals group has some great looking classes that I would like to take. and have been wanting to join. Is that the group that meets at UMSL?
j
Right, I dont know why I thought that... Im dying to take that stone setting class in october so I should probably join now. Your work is very pretty- I feel like I may have seen it at the store Charm downtown- is that you?
Aimee: I think what they refer to are artist's pigments, the kind one would mix when creating your own oil paints. They are like a powder that mix well.
However, I have had excellent results with less expensive 'pigments' such as eye shadow (really !!) or even regular kitchen spices.... I experimented with various colorful powdered substances, but ended up liking eye shadow the best. Lots of color choices, matte or glittery :-)
I am sure there are many more options out there. What are you using ?
