hello everyone, just wanted to report of a beautiful studio visit i had today and of 2 beautiful people i finally met in person....carolyn and bob, of ornament magazine.

:-)

given the fact that i am deep in (i call it) frenzy-show-mode, currently preparing 2 shows for april, nyc (http://www.artrider.com/CNY11.html) & dc (http://www.smithsoniancraftshow.org/indexmain.asp) and trays and bits of work in progress are disseminated throughout my studio.....i was a bit apprehensive, i must confess, about the effect complete caos might have on outsiders.

but carolyn and bob completely fell into the grove so to speak and we spent the next 2 hours talking and touching upon a variety of subjects, from the small technical chit chat (which, btw, i love...;-)  from the california years to gelato in italy and all the jewelry and metalwork related issues you can squeeze in 2 hours....i greatly appreciated their warmth and down to earth humanity and their continuing interest in the process behind the object one ultimately sees... maybe even touches.

anyway, back to the studio...this is what they saw.....but they didn't frown..!

i am thankful for and honored by their visit.

Sounds like a fun time Emanuela - congrats on the article!  We all work in a form of chaos until it goes beyond even our ability to stand it, and then we re-organize (again)!  Actually, the same thing happens on a cellular level, too...
