Contemporary Craft in Pittsburgh, PA, and juror Brigitte Martin, founder & editor of crafthaus, are excited to announce
 that ceramic artist
CJ Niehaus
of Cincinnati, OH is
the winner of our 2017 Lydon Emerging Arts Program (LEAP) Award.

“Bowls, cups and plates speak to friends, family and the sharing of experiences.  These vessels contain nourishment and the memories of shared meals and stories. The human hand connects to these objects, making them personal and intimate. To touch and be touched is very human and very clay.
