This is to announce a ceramic exhibition titled "Clay In A Can". All participants will be shipped in a cardboard box a one-gallon paint can lined with foam padding. The artists will produce a clay object, either functional or sculpture, no larger than 6" x 5" x 5", and ship it to Tom Supensky, the curator or the exhibition. Each piece will be displayed on top of the can. The exhibition will run in three different venues. Venue one: North Augusta Arts and Heritage Center, North Augusta, South Carolina, September 14 to November 13, 2010. Opening reception on Thursday, September 16, 6-8 pm. Venue two will be at Point of Art gallery, 604 Sibley Ave, Union Point, Georgia, from November 17 to December 30, 2010. Venue three will take place at the Aiken Center for the Arts, Aiken, South Carolina, from January 6 to January 28, 2011. There will be 61 participants from all over the United States. Some of the noted artists include Joe Bova, Val Cushing, Anna Calluori Holcombe, Sylvia Hyman, Eva Kwong, Kirk Mangus, Lisa Orr, Don Reitz, Nancy Selvin, Richard Shaw, Victor Spinski, Tom Supensky, Jack Troy, and Bill van Gilder.
