Consumers, designers and jewelers from all over the world flock to 47th Street -the “Diamond District”- to find stone dealers, casting houses, raw materials, and inspiration. Join the New York City Economic Development Corporation, the 47th Street BID and CJ Recht for Hot Rocks and Heavy Metal, an evening of presentations and cocktails at the Diamond Dealer’s Club, an institution at the heart of the City’s jewelry industry. Since its founding in 1931, the Diamond Dealer’s Club (DDC) has grown into the largest diamond trade organization in the United States, has launched the first virtual diamond trading floor, and has developed a reputation as one of leading diamond exchanges in the world. Embodying the combination of tradition and technology, this venue is the perfect place to meet and mingle with the people behind the jewelry: the artisans, educators, manufacturers and casters that bring hot rocks and heavy metal to life.
