Peters Valley Artist Fellows for Summer 2017

Artist Fellows for Summer 2017

Peters Valley School of Craft in Layton, NJ is offering 4 fellowship opportunities for the summer 2017 workshop season. Fellowships are available to 1 individual for each of the following studios: fine metals, photography, woodworking, and special topics (printmaking, painting, glass etc.).

Artist fellows are responsible for managing all studio operations such as ordering supplies, machine maintenance, inventory and working with visiting instructors to be sure the studio is equipped and ready for workshops. They also directly supervise the summer studio assistants and share in the monitoring of the studio during regular and open studio hours.

Fellows also have the use of studio space and equipment for making their own work, and are asked to assist in planning the next workshop season. Candidates must be available for from May through September. At the conclusion of the summer workshop season, artist fellows are invited to stay and work in the studios through December 1st with un-interrupted studio access. Artist fellows receive free housing, meals when the Peters Valley dining Hall is open (5 days per week), and a stipend of $4,000 for the season.

Deadline to Apply is February 15, 2017
