Ring from Nanz Aalund's workshop this week-end (June 27-28th)

I could not finish my ring at the workshop because I didn't have the right size drill bit on me...so I thought I would post a picture when I finished it. It's made with sterling and Argentium silver. The huge stone is a Danburite...I've always wanted a cocktail ring...now I have one:-) The Danburite was captured between the metal using spaced rivets. Nanz is a wonderful teacher and a very sweet person. I'm glad I had a chance to meet her!:-)

Linda...you are so funny...thx for the compliment...but don't sell yourself short. I have seen your work and it is great. Nanz told me to make a 3rd plate but I did not want to cut out another plate. So I did the lazy man thing and cut a tube and beveled the inside like a tube setting!!! I don't know about clever...maybe lazy and sneeky:-)

No...I'm sure that will be a good one. I really like Marlene and her work, I just could not fit it into my schedule. Let me know how it goes!!!!

OKay...not a problem!!!
It was really nice to have 14 hours of uninterrupted time to work on jewelry!!! I might get spoiled!!!!

Aimee, bring your ring to the next meeting so I can see it "hands on"! Glad the workshop went well.
