Trailer for the 2005 film that shows, in intimate close-up, the creative process of renowned found-object sculptor and jeweler Keith Lo Bue. Watch as he takes you step by step into the creation of one of his sculptural neckpieces in his Sydney studio, using elements as unusual as century old typewriter rollers, door hardware, cuckoo-clock parts and soil.
Far from a jewelry-specific how-to film, Within and Without delves instead into the mechanics, mishaps and marvels of the creative process itself.
The film premiered at US film festivals in Los Angeles and Port Townsend, WA.
