I have been working on a series of textile works that borrow the maps and symbols of meteorology. I applied for and received a BC Arts Council grant to re-learn animation -I had done 3 animated films in the 1980s but now the technology is all different. It was a learning curve. I realized that many of my pieces from hiking trips feature weather and I incorporated these. The most fun was fooling around with sound.... The other works can be seen here: http://www.bettinamatzkuhn.ca/weathering/
