Ian, the stable's farrier is a shy guy, but I got him to kick on his portable forge for y'all and allow us a quick peek inside his trailer. He said it's a mess inside and he's sorry about that. Lol! Like we don't know what metal working looks like.

Various materials are used for horseshoes these days: steel, aluminum, titanium, rubber and other plastics. Depending on the horse's needs, each horseshoe is fitted and they typically need new ones every 4-6 weeks.
