The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

An exciting position has arisen to for an experienced jewellery designer to join the team in St Albans.

The position will be head of bespoke services and in-house collections at Kings Hill Jewellery.

About the Role

This is a busy and challenging role in which you will be responsible for the following:

Develop innovative and creative in-house collections for the store

Build relationships with customers and drive bespoke sales

Design to customer specifications

Selling the in-house jewellery collections (existing and future collections to be designed by

successful candidate)

Producing detailed CADs and working alongside our in house workshops to create pieces

Create accurate and detailed specs

Work with the Buying Team to source stones according to clients’ need
