The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

Trending: Spoons
The humble spoon is having a bit of a moment and it’s the perfect opportunity to have fun with form and function. Create bespoke and decorative spoons using glass, wood, silver and clay; they're far too stylish to leave in the back of the cutlery drawer. Let us know if you make the full set.

Making – whether it’s a Rolls-Royce, a sterling silver pen, or extruded plastic furniture – is a multisensory experience. The Sound of Craftsmanship - the first podcast launched by London Craft Week in collaboration with KEF and the Sound of Life, explores the sonic cues, inspirations and practices of expert makers selected by LCW.

Over the following months, ten podcasts focusing on ten skilled expert makers will be featured. The project launches with three podcasts highlighting David Monks from Rolls Royce, metal artist Adi Toch and artist Yinka Ilori.
