Event Description

Master Class with Micki Lippe

You made/conceived this great piece of jewelry - but how to attach it to a body? Want to learn all about Attachments and Findings? This class will focus on pin backs, clasps, bails, earwires etc. We’ll look at what’s appropriate to the design, the materials – and its use/market. Students will learn how to creatively plan for connecting their pieces to the body in the design process. Bring your problem pieces, unfinished projects, ideas! Basic soldering skills required but instruction will include the use of the Smith Lil' Torch. (If you have never used a Lil’ Torch, this is a great opportunity to pick up some soldering tricks from a seasoned professional while exploring the ways in which the "little torch" can benefit you.)
Course # 09SW523 $125. Materials fee: $10.
Micki Lippe is an internationally known artist who has exhibited her works throughout Europe, South Korea, and the United States. Her work is featured in 500 Earrings, Art Jewelry Today 2 and Adorn. To see more of Micki's work, visit
