is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.
We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

Pop into the RHA POP UP SHOP. A collection of upcoming creatives including, furniture makers, product & fashion designers, jewellers and milliners have been selected to exhibit in the Pop Up Shop for periods of between one and two weeks. The Pop Up Shop offers a prime city centre commercial retail space to these start-up businesses to enable them to promote and sell their products without the usual limitations associated with renting a shop unit and within the creative environment of the RHA.
Adornment Collective
This Adornment collective is part of a larger group of Irish Jewellers who came together as a result of a collaboration between renowned photographer Agata Stoinska and producer/art director Eddie Shanahan to celebrate the artistic quality and Craftsmanship of Contemporary Irish Jewellery to mark Year of Craft 2011. The group are from all corners of the country with one resounding passion - quality, craftsmanship and design in Jewellery.

Call for Entries
UK artists are invited to submit sculptural proposals for an exhibition to be held in the grounds of Kidwelly Castle, South Wales. The exhibition will run from June to September 2012.

EXHIBITION: Power of Making celebrates the role of making in our lives by presenting an eclectic selection of over 100 exquisitely crafted objects. The exhibition is a cabinet of curiosities showing works by both amateurs and leading makers from around the world, presenting a range of skills with imaginative and spectacular results.
