Project 2: “Pedestal Construction”

 

Project Description:

To purchase materials and construct 30 pedestals of various sizes to display work by ceramic artists. The materials include luan plywood, 1/4 inch thick, brads, sandpaper, 1 x 2 inch pine board for interior reenforcement, wood glue, white primer paint and white semi-gloss paint. The pedestals will be maintained by members of CASE (Clay Artists of the Southeast) and used for a number of exhibitions in the Georgia, South Carolina region where the gallery or exhibition space does not have pedestals.The pedestals will be built by members of of CASE themselves.

CASE is a non-profit organization that has approximately 60 members working in clay.  Membership is open to any person living in the Southeast region of America, primarily Georgia, and South Carolina.
