Thanks for the feedback Ted! The outlines of the circles and the lines at one point were oxides. These are not. The color comes from a commercial product, Velvet Underglazes. The technique is based on a traditional mishima (Japanese/Korean) technique. The design is incised into the clay when wet, the color is painted on and then the excess is scraped away leaving color inlayed in the lines. I currently have work in The Harry Wood Gallery for the Nathan Cummings Show.
