Brooch in 18K gold. Cast and fabricated. Original pattern carved in hard green wax. Trombone clasp components fully hand fabricated. Platinum plates for the diamonds. Six 4mm heat-treated cabochon sapphires, 2.15 cts. tw. Thirteen 0.02 ct. full-cut diamonds, bead set and bright cut. 43mm x 9mm. 5.41 grams.

Great photo, Scott. Although seeing it in person was just magical. It really looks like it is just crawling along.. a bug made of sapphires!

@Dauvit....Thanks, Dauvit! I take it you are familiar with the film...my brother and I used to get scared silly when we were just little guys.....my mom forbade us from watching it......(but we did anyway!) If you ever get a surplus of any nice stones....I have a ton (relatively speaking) of these sapphires.....we could trade!
