This is a close-up view of the top level of the scale the regular pattern on the sides erupts into a disoriented, tenuous arrangement open for interpretation. Fabricated from pre-printed, recycled steel, aluminum rivets. Electric motor for rotating dial.
Over 575 metal triangles are cut, folded, and riveted together in a traditional quilt pattern.
The individual triangles are tilted at various angles, distorting the appearance of the pattern depending on your perspective. This is similar to words that have an entirely different meaning depending on the context in which they are used.
