Jewellery designer maker Farrah Al-Dujaili is one of ninety-five designer makers to be selected to exhibit at Talente at the International Trade Fair in Munich in March 2011.
‘I hope to establish myself as a jeweller through well-made, innovative pieces and being part of an established exhibition like Talente is a great platform to do just that. I feel very privileged to be exhibiting’.
Farrah is based in Birmingham working independently as a designer maker, having recently finished an MA in Jewellery, Silversmithing and Related Products at the School of Jewellery, Birmingham.
Farrah is influenced by her style of drawing, utilising a hybrid mix of forms that are organic and playful. She applies a mix of drawing materials;pencil, crayons and watercolours to a surface of enamel paint adding ‘This gives an interesting material link to my design methodology, enforcing the dialogue between drawing and making’.
