What's happening with Radical Jewelry Makeover - Santa Fe!

Hi,

Right now we are working with the Santa Fe community to bring together student and professional jewelers for the October Makeover. We are re-designing our curriculum to more effectively bring participants up to speed on ethical practices and sourcing for jewelry. We are looking for a house to rent while in Santa Fe (at a non-profit rate (as close to free as possible)) so that all of our project assistants and documentarians can stay under one roof. And we are yes, fundraising. We are fundraising through a crowd sourcing system and have been counting on everyone that thinks the project is worthwhile to make a small gift.

Over 1700 people have watched the project video on the United States Artist Project Site and after doing the math, we would have reached out goal already of those viewers gave just $9.32 to the project. That's a great deal for the how good you'll feel for supporting a progressive, creative project that brings jewelers of all ages and abilities together! And that makes material sourcing issues accessible. We know that Radical Jewelry Makeover has reached many makers, it has led to dramatic changes in the practices of some, it has created treasured connections between jewelers that may not otherwise have crossed paths, it has an international community of supporters and it needs a gift from you today.

Here's the video link: http://www.unitedstatesartists.org/project/radical_jewelry_makeover...

We have 7.5 hours left in a $555.00 challenge that would push us past $4500 dollars in funds raised so far.

Want to see work by 3 student jewelers who will be participating in RJM - New Mexico? Check it out here!

Thank you for reading. We hope you know that there's no getting rich, no extras, we're just trying to keep this popular project running, growing and working to support a burgeoning socially and environmentally responsible jewelry movement.

A $10 donation would make a real difference today.

Thanks,

Christina Miller
