Mistakes to learn from

My soldering has improved greatly.
Solder has been flowing nicely.
I learned well that I need to flood the solder into these things....
I'll show you below what happened with the first ones.
Since there seems to be only one #2 Smith torch tip in class...
the one that is best for these rings,
I did learn that a tip can be too small and it can be too big.
Having the right tip, the right heat makes the soldering work so much better.

Here's my first run in with what happened inside...
between the two rings.So THAT'S what happens!
OK.<br.No, it won't fall apart, but it's still not good.
I have perfect to shoot for.
I'll get there....the other two rings which have who knows what kinds of internal surprizes awaiting me
will make sure this lesson is beaten into my head.
