(Hmm, I'll get this blogging figured out
I'll probably be into this post several times
while I figure out how it works with pictures,
so bear with me)
Wednesdays are my RocketRing days.
It's always slow starting up when I've got to pay attention to exactness.
I have a zeroxed guide for ring sizing
which I compare to a piece of stiff tracing paper wrapped around my finger....
marked exactly where it ends
and then adding to it the gage and one half of the gage of the metal,
and THAT is supposed to be the correct size once soldered and shaped into a perfect circle for my finger.
What I come up with seems to always be different than the "guide".
I must measure 15 times,
and then just give up, and begin.
There is a great metal cutter in the shop with which I'll cut up that piece of sterling.
This is my station at MATC where I have access to all the tools I don't have at my studio/house. More later...
whoops....posted that one in the wrong place!
