The Craftcast™ "I Love Tools"event coming up this Wednesday got me thinking about my other beloved metal clay tools, particularly of the homemade variety.
Hands down, my favorite is my metal clay turntable. It's super simple to make, and works so much better than the cake decorators' turntables being sold for metal clay. You could potentially make a variety of sizes but I like my little 4"x4" surface, and use it constantly. In this article I describe how I use it to cut out complex designs, but it's also where I do all of my complex locket and box construction. I hope you find it as useful as I have. If nothing else you can't beat the price, I made mine out of repurposed objects so it cost me a whopping $0.00!
