I enjoy working with people from all backgrounds and value collaborative efforts. In my spare time (hahaha) I work with every material that's not securely nailed to the floor.
I enjoy a good challenge and absolutely thrive in a crisis situation. Working under full-on pressure is what I love to do. Bring it on!
Thanks so much for the welcome. I have been contemplating joining Crafthaus for some time. Today seemed like the day. I am realizing more and more the important role, connection with other craftspeople plays in our creative processes. Without feedback, one can lose perspective. So, thanks again, and I look forward to a great year with Crafthaus.
I just received a posting from crafthaus about the upcoming CAA Conference. You have it posted as being held in Chicago. It is actually being held in New York City! It was in Chicago last year.
Hello back! I have just finally had the time to load some images and familiarize myself more with my page. It is overwhelming how much talent there is to look through! Thanks for the message...and my name is spelled L "E" isa just FYI!!!!!! Thanks! Leisa
Thank you for the post about Kiva! I've been spending alot of time browsing the site to get familiar and I'm very excited to be here! Alot of talent!!! Thank you for welcoming me :) What's the correct protocol for reaching out to others on the site? Hope this is not a dumb question....Regards, Marcia C.
Glad to hear from you. I really enjoyed my residency in N Carolina. Also its great to be part of this group, Thank you for having me. I'm still trying to find my way through it and how it works. What are you up to now? I'm not very good at these network sites yet, and don't quite understand how they work and who sees what.
I decided to join Crafthaus after hearing your interview on Blog Radio. Really interesting and I appreciate all your hard work in connecting artists. I've looked at the site before and enjoyed it but hearing how it came to be made me stop procrastinating. Thanks so much!
Brigitte, thank you for telling me about the Piece Progressions call. It looks very interesting and I will probably submit a few photos there.
I've also noticed that you're curating a "Black and White" online exhibition. I might send you a photo of a b&w ring that I have, if this call is still on.
I am really excited to see the development of crafthaus since its beginning and seeing it further evolve. It is a great network with tons of interesting info to read.
Congratulations on all your achievements! Thank you.
right back at ya. i am really looking forward to this event. i've been giving lessons to artists all over the place on how to price their work. they are usually in shock when they find out how to do it and that it isn't a guessing game--that there really is a method. and they also find out they are way undervaluing their time. one gallery that has 3 fab young ladies running it raised their prices after they saw the proper procedure.
i just typed in a comment to maureen zappelini....post about silver prices and after i hit add comment, it said it has to be approved before it can be posted. i'm wondering if i did something wrong or didn't follow proper procedure. thanks so much. anne
Thank you Brigitte. What a great website Crafthaus is. It is high quality in every way and very easy to navigate. I'm proud to have my work shown on it and looking forward to all the information and opportunites it provides.
i hope i won't sound like i'm bragging--i'm just floating on a cloud right now! i just got back from a show and i had a letter from schiffer saying my submission has been accepted for art jewelry today 3!! my first major book acceptance and it's making another rainy day seem like sunshine. can't wait to see you thursday. right now, based on all the things i want to do there, i think i have a total of 15 mins scattered around a day to eat. don't know how i'm going to do it. i'll have to go to whole foods and buy some stuff to nibble on as i go everywhere! anne
you are too kind. you are already famous and look how humble and wonderful you are! i must send a note off to michelle. i am so happy for her too! i'm bursting now from all this joy and can't wait to see you guys.
I did! Thank You. I knew that the Sea-Tac TSA has the x-ray scanners, so I stamped my entire body head to toe. This resulted in being pulled out of line and searched - twice- Great fun. It was totally worth it.
The Sea-Tacky 2Roses art performance was made possible through the support of Brigitte Martin and Jillian Moore.
Thanks for the link. It is so funny and sad at the same time. It was great to share the plane ride home. I really appreciated the conversation...a good way to sort through the overwhelming amount of information that I gathered at SNAG. And thanks for sharing your headset for a little down time!
It was so great to meet and talk with you at SNAG - the trunk show was a lively event to end the conference with -- and people could carry the excitement into the final dinner. Thanks for all you do for the field-----
Hi Brigitte, Thank you so much for making me one of your featured Crafthaus makers. It was a lovely surprise to receive an email about this and I'm really pleased. Best wishes, Sandra.
Perhaps this is the year I will participate! I hate to be known as the one who never does... Hope you are well recovered from the fun at SNAG. I'm still working on it. Recovering that is. Maybe that is my problem, I am "working" on it!
I haven't even finished the pieces for the show yet, so haven't investigated shipping. My only advice is NEVER state that parcels contain jewellery, even when filling out the postal forms for insurance. Small sculptures, art objects etc. are less likely to go astray in the post than items labelled 'jewellery.' Plus I think that jewellery isn't covered by regular postal insurance, so automatically attracts a huge premium. Not familiar with Japanese postal system, but have been warned on more than one occasion that shipping to Italy is a game of Russian Roulette!

Hi Brigitte,
I know the Justified sinner but I am not aware of the others but will drop a message to them.
I am so busy trying to tie up my BA at the moment so there will be little activity at the moment .
I have already found it a fascinating browse and plan to investigate further and also put my deggree show work on my page.
