Interdisciplinary. Community. Advocacy. Humor.
The best advice we can give our members is PARTICIPATE. If there's a topic someone posted about, comment. If there is an image or video you have questions for or would like to know more about, ask. People are generally very accommodating and helpful, no question is considered stupid.
Feel free to also post about what interests you. What are you working on, what materials do you recommend? Did you see an exhibition you liked? As long as it isn't a straight-on sales pitch for someone to buy your work, go ahead and post straight into the blog segment. Click +ADD and off you go. Oh, and add lots of images. We like to be able to see what you are talking about. Thanks!
Social networking on crafthaus is really not so much about self-marketing as it is about discourse and sharing of information you care about. That's how you make the most use of this site. Simply uploading images and waiting for people to notice and 'like"? That won't work on crafthaus. You should engage with what's going on here, after all, that's the "social" part of "social networking." If you just want to hang, watch, and observe, that's ok, but don't be disappointed if you can't get everything you hoped for from the site. It is a highly interactive environment, so please join in. We'd love to hear your opinion. People are generally helpful around here. Ask questions and engage.
Your page can be adjusted in many different ways:
There is a zero-tolerance policy in place when it comes to bad behavior. We are proud to conduct ourselves professionally and allow for insightful and polite conversations on a variety of art/craft/design/entertainment topics. It's ok to disagree, it is NOT ok to go after people and chew them out. Let everybody live. All conversations are monitored.
