Event Description

with Randi Harper & Karon Leigh
Join us for a groundbreaking 3 day workshop that takes encaustic painting to a new dimension! Seattle area artist and teacher, Randi Harper pushes the boundaries in a variety of media. Karon Leigh is known for her dynamic and bold encaustic work. Together they will introduce new and exciting techniques designed to create 3 dimensional and sculptural encaustic pieces. Pieces that focus on texture - and embody the unique qualities of light, depth and color that only the encaustic method can create.
Course # 09SW677 $275. Materials fee: $25.00
Encaustic painting experience is helpful, but not mandatory, as basic instruction is included. Artists focusing on sculptural work in other media are encouraged to attend!

"This looks like it could be interesting; one of my favorite topics. Not much happening so far. I have been entering exhibitions for the last 3-4 years with success and failure. It's a difficult thing to figure out."
