Call for Artists:
Light of the Moon
A midwinter celebration of contemporary arts and crafts
Exhibition dates: January 18 – March 15, 2014 Opening event: January 18, 4:00 – 8:00pm
The Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts’ Sandra J. Blain Galleries invites artists to submit works for consideration for the national juried exhibition, “Light of the Moon.” Submissions will be accepted via SlideRoom through October 15, 2013.
All work should relate, respond, investigate, explore, be inspired by, and/or interpret the theme, “Light of the Moon.”
Juror:
Namita Gupta Wiggers, Director and Chief Curator, Museum of Contemporary Craft|PNCA
Criteria:
All emerging and professional artists 18 and over may apply. Book, clay, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, metal, paint, paper, photography, print, wood and mixed media submissions will be accepted. All work must have been completed in the last 2 years.
Submissions:
All entries must be submitted via SlideRoom (arrowmont.slideroom.com) by October 15, 2013. The entry fee is $35 for 3 works. Image files must be jpeg format.
Please submit a brief artist’s statement regarding your work of no more than 1000 characters along with your entry.
Awards:
Monetary and purchase awards will be given, including a purchase award for Arrowmont’s permanent collection
