The Association for Contemporary Jewellery

is devoted to the promotion, representation, understanding and development of contemporary jewellery in the United Kingdom and abroad.

Founded as a membership association in 1997 and registered as a Limited Company in 2006, it recognises a need to foster discussion, debate and critical review and interaction amongst its members. To this end we organise conferences, lectures, seminars, workshops and an annual general meeting for our members. Our regular newsletter, findings, features reviews, information, comment, book offers and discounts and is of benefit to both our members and the wider public. We also produce a monthly e-bulletin featuring news and opportunities.

We welcome as members practising jewellers, associated designers and crafts people, educators, students, gallery owners and retailers, museum curators, critics and collectors - indeed, anyone with an interest in contemporary jewellery.

Hello!
I'm really excited to announce the release date for The Art and Design of Metal Clay Jewelry. Putting this publication is a labor of love. This year I had three lovely and talented artists help jury, Emma Baird, Tracey Spurgin and Lesley Messam. Without them, I would never have been about to narrow down 300 entries to 12 months of beautiful jewelry. This publication demonstrates the fantastic work of artists all around the world using metal clay in combination with metalsmithing, enameling, riveting, gemstone setting and so many other techniques.
As an advocate of Metal Clay, I am interested in making others aware of its potential in our field.

I hope you will take a peek of their work and read about all the details at: http://www.hollygage.com/pages/theartanddesignofmetalclayjewelrycal...
Many thanks for your support!!!!
~ Holly

The Corning Museum of Glass is committed to supporting artists and scholars in their work. In this vein, the Museum offers a variety of residencies, grants and competitions for those working with glass for art or for research:

We welcome entries from all parts of the UK and ROI for projects or initiatives that combine some or all of the elements that make an epic arts or crafts programme. We want to reward groups that have done great work since Jan 2010, but if your project or initiative is ongoing you can still enter. It helps if you can show what you've achieved so far and what is planned for the future. There will be a winner and runner-up from each of the nations: England, Ireland (including the Republic of Ireland), Scotland and Wales.
